Freshly launched - a custom blog-based site for Fashion writer/producer Mami Shira. Nokomai developed the brand elements, site design and unique templates to house all the latest articles and projects Mami has under development.

This was a fascinating new project we helped build for inSing - it's an interactive map of Singapore that displays hotspots of activity - where the white points appear on the map, that's where the most people/activity is happening. So on the snapshot above, you can see that the quiet areas are around the reservoirs, and to the west of the island. In addition, we're displaying locations tagged with media content - like 360° photos & videos. These are taking accurate longitude and latitude, and translating that down into an accurate scale for the dimensions of the size of the map on screen.

We're also doing some interesting de-clustering of the map icons - since at the scale of the map, there are plenty of points-of-interest that are so near that they would overlap on screen. We developed a script that declusters the points to allow users to mouseover them more easily.

We also added a panel to the top-right where users can toggle the visibility of the icon types independently, as well as fading the heatmap data, and district names on screen.

caspoll - chic products of beauty

We've just launched the site for Caspoll - Singapore based distributor of beautiful Danish fashion brands becksöndergaard copenhagen and Naledi Copenhagen.

Inspired by clean Nordic design, we kept the site elegant, easy to use, but also with delicate attention to detail that reflects the quality of the brands Caspoll represents.

Along with the site content, visitors can also buy the products in the shop pages. We integrated the site design with a Shopify backend to create a simple, clean eCommerce experience.

mile end films revamp live

Nokomai has revamped the site for our friends at Mile End Films. We migrated the existing site onto a custom Wordpress-based CMS, to make site updates much easier.
In the few years since we developed the previous site for Mile End Films, the web has changed, and so the new site needed to reflect those changing needs.
While we're still keeping blogging components in the site, they're a lot more integral now. Social media has also been integrated into the site as a vital channel to reach audiences, and we have updated the site to accommodate the increasing numbers of visitors browsing the site on phones and tablets.

animals that lay eggs don't have bellybuttons

Our submission for Kult Magazine's Animals issue. Each illustration has to illuminate a different fact about animals. Ours was "Animals that lay eggs don't have belly buttons". So since our froggy didn't have a belly button, he had to borrow one.
